How AI-native primary care is giving physicians their time back – and giving patients a doctor who’s fully present.

For over twenty-five years I’ve watched companies sell technology to physicians. Most of it made the day longer, not shorter. What Matic does is different and I don’t say that lightly.

I strongly believe that the future of primary care will be built with physicians, not around them. I’m not asking anyone to take my word for it, because our physicians are already saying it better than I can.

Dr. Keith Eppich gave me the numbers. The day before he started, he had 17 unlocked charts. By lunch the next day he’d seen 13 patients and his charts were locked, and within a few days he was seeing four more patients a day. And his wife noticed how much more he was present the very first weekend after starting on Matic Dr. Karla Dick told me she’s getting more of her notes done during the day and taking less work home. Dr. Doug Fullington is sleeping 90 minutes more at night because he isn’t waking early to prepare charts.  Dr. Madhavi Ampajwala said the thing that stays with me most: she’s making eye contact instead of looking at a screen, and her patients walk out feeling like she knows them, not just their chart. 

Time back, and better care.  Especially primary care when it begins to reach its full potential.  That’s what I care about.
