Blake Madden at Hospitalogy just published a detailed look at what we’re building at Matic. We’re grateful for it, and for the depth he brought to it.
But the real story here isn’t us. It’s the problem.
Primary care is running on fumes. Physicians are finishing notes at 11pm. Patients wait weeks for appointments that last 12 minutes. Practices are drowning in administrative overhead that has nothing to do with actually delivering care.
And the technology that was supposed to fix this (the EHRs, the point solutions, the ambient AI bolted onto already-broken workflows) has mostly made the cognitive load heavier, not lighter.
Matic exists because we believed two things healthcare almost never combines could change that: a physician who’s lived this problem from the inside, and a team who’s spent decades building experiences people actually love to use. The kind that make friction disappear, not just rearrange itself into a new shape.
That belief is now a platform. Hospitalogy’s piece goes deeper on what we’ve built and why.
