Smart Solutions are orchestrated workflows that combine multiple Matics into end-to-end clinical experiences, spanning pre-visit preparation, in-visit support, post-visit completion, and between-visit inbox management.
Matic Platform and Matic Gateway provide access to Matic Intelligence, either through a provider-facing application or embedded directly into existing systems via APIs or white-label integrations.

How Matic started
Dr. Alex Sheppert is an AI engineer turned physician. He founded Scribematic in his second year at Noorda College of Medicine. His background spans a PhD in AI, an MBA, a medical degree, and a current residency at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical, giving him an unusual vantage on how to solve healthcare's complex problems through intelligent design. A lifelong programmer trained in both clinical care and advanced AI, Alex built Scribematic and remains focused on how AI will reshape the healthcare industry, and on helping shape what that future looks like.
Calvin Carter is a lifelong technologist who has led companies through every major technology disruption from PCs at age nine through the AI era. He founded Icon Interactive during the early web wave, then in 2008 founded the design-and-engineering firm Bottle Rocket, which he grew to over 350 people, earned four Apple App Store Hall of Fame Awards and an Emmy nomination, and built mission-critical mobile applications for Chick-fil-A, NBC, NPR, LEGO, Southwest Airlines, Baylor Scott & White, and 540 other Fortune 100 and 5000 businesses.
In 2024, Calvin joined Alex full-time and pivoted the company to Matic in 2025 to solve complex problems across the full healthcare lifecycle, leveraging innovation, experience design, and AI. ......this is the beginning of something extraordinary.
